It's Punishment Time!

We should all be thankful that corporal punishment is no longer allowed! When a teacher gives you a stare like this, you know you are in serious trouble. Nobody would want to suffer a spanking from this teacher… Or would they? After all, that piercing look can dig deep into one's mind!

Bad students, however, certainly don't want to earn the wrath of such a stern teacher. The impact of her gaze can be long-lasting. Despite this, we should still appreciate our teachers, as they always go above and beyond to do their job and play a crucial role in society.

Teaching in Style

The quote, “The more you know about the past, the better you are prepared for the future,” by Theodore Roosevelt, had a profound impact on this lady. She had a dream of becoming a history tutor, but some people believed it was important to dress for the job you wanted and not the one you had.

Despite their opinion, she knew she would eventually get her Master’s in Education and History. Her green dress was form-fitting, and she did not care what other people thought. It is important to remember that appearances are not always indicative of a person’s character.

Teaching Is a Gift

In her life as a teacher, she never thought she would ever find herself back in her former school as a third-grade teacher. Her childhood memories of listening to and learning from her geography tutor filled her with a sense of belonging.

This urge to be part of something bigger pushed her to make a big change, from her job as a lawyer to a teacher, because that's where her heart truly lay. Leaving her comfort zone and actively seeking what her heart desired was a meaningful experience for her, but this was the change that took the most guts.

Bringing Back the Fun

As we progressed through our grades, school subjects grew increasingly complex and the fun we experienced in the early years began to fade. But then, one teacher decided to bring back the joy of our early school years and made it a priority to incorporate singing, dancing and playing into our lessons. It was her way of making us feel excited about school again.

It was also a refreshing reminder of the simpler days of our past, not to mention a fun way of releasing some of the pressure. The ability to adapt is an important skill in any job, let alone teaching.

Taking On Any Challenge

Upon finishing her schooling, this young woman felt a sense of accomplishment and was excited to receive her professional certification. However, she soon realized that the real world was a far cry from what she had imagined. While she was living her dream of being a math teacher, the students she encountered were not so welcoming and instead chose to mock her.

Nevertheless, she was undeterred and decided to take them on. Needless to say, they never stood a chance… A word of advice for them: it may be wise for students to pick their battles more carefully next time!

Visual Representation

Many people know that visualizing biology can be tricky. But, when it comes to learning, the visual representation of what is being taught makes the process much easier. It can be intriguing and wholesome, and it sure looks cool!

This tutor is trying to show how to understand the structure of our body. It may be difficult for children to comprehend the location of all their body parts, so it is essential to explain it well. Perhaps one way to do this is to use a dress with 3D images of a body. Adding sleeves and masks could also be a creative way to explain the concept further.

Don't Fall Asleep!

No one believes that only students know how to pull off the best pranks. This particular teacher had a different approach to punishing a student who fell asleep in his class. Rather than just waking him up and sending him out of the class, the teacher knelt and tied the student's shoelaces together.

This left the entire class feeling tense, yet it was a lesson the student wouldn't soon forget. In the end, it just goes to show that even history lessons can be exciting (at least if you manage to stay awake until the end). Actions always matter more than words.

How to Instantly Fail an Exam

If a student's handwriting is too small and not legible, the teacher may need to invest in a magnifying glass to read it. It may be challenging to determine what the student meant by their essay and why it was written that way. Was it a joke? Is it just his or her way of writing?

Speaking of jokes, the teacher could add some humor to the situation by asking the student what grade he or she was hoping for on the exam. We guess that just like his or her handwriting, the student would be forced to reply, "A small one."

Awkward Exemplification

The student's face is a clear indication that the teacher's unconventional approach to teaching gravity and mass distribution isn't exactly going according to plan. Instead of depending on textbooks, this teacher decided to demonstrate the principles of physics and mechanics more physically by resting her entire body on her student's desks.

This creative way of teaching may have been well-intended, but it's quite clear that the student is feeling a bit too close for comfort. It's hard to pay attention to complex abstract notions while wondering, "Is Mrs. Smith going to fall?" The originality of the teacher was A+, though!

The Classroom's On Fire

English lessons may focus on Shakespeare's use of cycles of violence in his works. He often used light, fire, and burning as a means of revenge that would ultimately lead to destruction and death, which in turn would require revenge. Yet, it is wise to rid ourselves of our vengeful hearts before they consume us.

On the other hand, in chemistry class, we are not taught to be rid of our resentful hearts. Instead, we are taught about flammable gases at the end of the day. Therefore, if one has an enemy, such as a wasp, it is not a problem to find a match or light to weaponize oneself.

Sometimes Things Just Work Out

Exams can be quite nerve-wracking, especially when one's mind goes completely blank. This student was in the same predicament and drew a man-dolphin instead of panicking. What is a man-dolphin? It seems to be something one gives to teachers in exchange for good grades!

Not only did the teacher find it humorous, but he also appreciated the student's creativity and rewarded them. This story is an excellent example of how to get back up after a tough test experience. Next time you find yourself zoning out during an exam, why not try to doodle something funny as a gift for your teacher?

Most Valuable Educators

The results of Jack, Joshua, and Kimberly's yearbook pictures are simply remarkable, leaving us to wonder if their matching attire and blue background were planned or but a mere coincidence. Either way, they have shown us that education can be approached in a fun and creative way.

We are certain that if there were an award for Most Valuable Educator, these three would surpass all of the competition. We can only hope that no animals were harmed in the process of their creative endeavors, even if they happen to be made out of plastic. It was a great team effort.

Bill-Cosby Style

When it comes to memorizing math formulas, particularly those involving trigonometry, things can be very hard for some students. To make it easier, it is important to familiarize oneself with the basic building blocks of trigonometry. But how can a teacher help their students?

This teacher, a huge fan of Bill Cosby, had a brilliant idea to use the famous actor-comedian as a way to teach trigonometry. Who would have thought of such a creative solution? Now that this teacher has used this approach, what other chapters can be taught with it, and what other characters and pictures can be used?

In a Classroom Far, Far Away

This physics teacher was a huge "Star Wars" fan who found an inventive way to express himself in his teaching. With a stroke of genius, he used a whiteboard to create a masterpiece of art depicting the famous F=ma formula. The students sure went wild when they saw it.

This technique makes sense: most students are not very excited about math, but they're excited about "Star Wars," meaning that they get more excited about learning math when "Star Wars" is involved. This teacher is a bonafide legend now, and he deserves to be immortalized for his unique and inspired contributions to the classroom!

The Clock is Ticking

This teacher certainly pulled a unique move on their students, as they tagged the wall clock with the saying, “Time is passing. Are you?” While some may find this to be a bit offensive, it can also serve as a helpful reminder to be attentive in class. Perhaps this clock was a way to prevent the learners from having to endure a tiring lecture—after all, it can serve as a helpful reminder that freedom is coming soon.

It serves another purpose: telling students to make the most of their time in school. Anyway, we’re glad we don’t have to be part of that class!

Christopher Walk-Ins

No matter how talented or well-known you are, if you don't have a scheduled appointment, you can't get into the principal's office. Christopher Walken, an Oscar-winning actor known for his famous roles in "Catch Me If You Can" and "Pulp Fiction", gets the message. Just take a look at his stern expression on the poster, and you'll know that it's not a good idea to mess with your teacher's plans.

So, don't forget to schedule an appointment before you try to get in, otherwise, you'll just be met with laughter. Walk-ins (or should we say Walkens?) will not be accepted!

Making Math Merry

This creative teacher found a way to make math magical during the Christmas holidays. Despite being stuck with his students doing math, he was determined to spread love in the classroom. Donning a Santa hat, he presented them with an equation with the answer "merry=X-mas," leaving them all in awe!

It's clear that for some teachers and students, math has the potential to be something extraordinary. According to a survey published by Nippon, math is the most disliked school subject, followed by physical education and arts and crafts. On the other hand, The Tutor Resource reported that math is the most straightforward subject to teach.

Nailing Without a Hammer

When the student got an A+ on the exam, it was a rewarding moment for all the hard work and stress he had endured. His day was made, but he had been so anxious about it that he had studied too much! We can all give him the applause he deserves, but what was the teacher thinking when they wrote all that on the test paper?

We can only imagine what would have happened if the hammer had been drawn and the conversation that would have ensued. Nonetheless, getting a message like this from a teacher, with or without a hammer, is always exhilarating.

Copy-Paste? Gandalf Disapproves!

Students may look for shortcuts all the time, but why should they copy someone else's work? This student thought they could get away with plagiarizing the given task word for word, but it wasn't to be. Although independence is important for learners, stealing another person's work is not the way to achieve it.

The teacher didn't have to struggle to catch the student thanks to his friend, Gandalf, the master plagiarism detector. Once again, the teacher's skills and knowledge have enabled justice to prevail. Nowadays, it's easier than ever to detect plagiarism in students' works, thanks to online plagiarism checkers.

A Real Spoiler Alert

The power of knowledge is widely recognized even in the realm of fantasy, so nobody should take it for granted. Many college students are aware of this concept, which could lead to an interesting conversation—unless you have a professor like this one. This instructor read the entire book on the "Game of Thrones" sequel and had a full understanding of the plot.

But how did this knowledge help him? Well, it enabled him to control his unruly pupils! Whenever they attempted to be disruptive, he would inform them of the upcoming events of the show. Certainly, no one would stand for such an act.

And the Award Goes To…

No matter how much the world shifts from day to day, certain things remain the same. Unfortunately, some students don't realize that their excuses for not doing homework are part of that. Commonly, they might say, "it disappeared," or "my dog ate it." Josh Hance, though, took it to the next level. Unfortunately for him, his teacher was paying attention.

Mrs. Azrai wasn't buying Hance's tricks, so she came up with the perfect solution. It was both funny and a bit hurtful. Now, Hance has a special certificate called the Bermuda Triangle Award. He can confidently show it off to everyone.

Cheaters Everywhere

Cheating on exams is an unfortunate habit among students, as they think it's the quickest way to succeed. But teachers are always one step ahead! Some tutors get extra creative to stop their learners from cheating, and this one guy took it to the extreme. He built himself a watchtower in the classroom so he could keep an eye on everything that was happening.

It may have been funny to the students, but it certainly made clear that cheating was not an option. According to a poll shared by ProctorEdu, however, a whopping 60.8% of college attendees admitted to cheating.

For Mozart's Hands, Only

This music teacher wanted to avoid posting a boring "do not touch" sign, so he opted for something more humorous. He posted a board with a funny message that would require students to ask for permission to play the piano. The notice ended with the deadpan phrase, "Mozart is dead," which was meant to discourage learners from attempting to impersonate the famous composer.

While the post was certainly amusing, it remains to be seen if it will successfully deter students from playing the piano without permission. The real Mozart passed away on December 5, 1791, at the age of 35.

Ga-Ga O-La-La

This teacher was a fan of Lady Gaga's 2009 hit single "Bad Romance," as he used it to grab his students' attention with his creative periodic table rendition of the song. He hoped that by transforming the lyrics into the periodic table, his learners would be able to recall the elements.

It must have been quite a sight to see the students humming along to the song to recall their answers—and the teacher must have been thrilled with the guaranteed A's he was sure to receive in both music and chemistry! The teacher's combination of composition and art was truly unique.

Staff Wars

Brian Dennard, a royal high school teacher in California, has taken ID security to a whole new level! Instead of a regular ID photo, he chose to make his card unique with a photo of him dressed as Princess Leia, complete with her blaster. We guess it's not that hard to guess what his favorite movie is!

This has created some excitement among the students, and now there's a buzz about who will be the next "Star Wars" character to appear on an ID card! Will there be the fan-favorite Han Solo, or are other Jedi set to make an appearance?

The Pencils Nobody Wants to Use

When we reach a certain point in life, there may be some things we feel embarrassed about. It's best to keep this to ourselves and not tell anyone, not even a friend or teacher. You never know how someone might use the information against you. This teacher noticed that some of the students were embarrassed about Justin Bieber's songs, so he used this to his advantage.

Whenever a student forgot to bring a pencil to class, the teacher would give them one with the words "I love Justin Bieber" inscribed. It is always wise to be prepared and have an extra supply of stationary!

Free Cal Telfer

Cal Telfer, the English teacher at RCHK, deserves a standing ovation for being truly remarkable. He certainly does not need any introduction, as he is more than capable of handling any situation. Despite having a no-nonsense look, he brought up a whole new vibe for the interview. It was revealed that he once lived in a cage with plenty of biohazards, and his childhood ambition was to escape from a lab, which is an unusual aspiration for a teacher.

We can only imagine what he could say during a parents-teachers meeting if he was given the chance, but we're glad that he finally set himself free.

Movie References For the Win!

It's not every day that one finds extraordinary teachers, but when one does, one should treasure them. This particular teacher managed to make the movie "Titanic" into a funny homework gag. This creative teaching technique kept the students engaged throughout the lesson. Who doesn't like comedy after all?

The tutor set this assignment for the learners, asking them to label it like one of their French girls. It was just like the scene between Jack and Rose. The teacher made sure that even the science and bony structure was funny and creepy. We are sure that the students succeeded in labeling it!

Surprise Background Image

This teacher had an interesting way of dealing with a student who had his or her phone confiscated. Instead of just handing back the phone, he opted to change the background image to something truly embarrassing: a picture of the school staff! The student must have been surprised when he or she got back the phone, but they probably also found it very funny.

In the end, this is just a case of a bored teacher having a little bit of fun at work. Hopefully, his students have learned a valuable lesson: unless they want to be pranked, they should keep their phones inside their pockets during classes.

Being There… Without Being There

When teachers are absent from class, the learners run wild and free. To keep her students' attention while away, this teacher used a picture of herself as a substitute, creating an authoritative atmosphere. The funniest thing about it is that she decided to use a photo in which she looks "professorial."

Nothing can replace the physical presence of a teacher, and that's probably why school classes aren't 100% online just yet. According to EdSurge, remote learning isn't as effective for students' brains because of a phenomenon described as "Zoom fatigue." The experts believe technology can disrupt "normal intricate human communication methods."

Class Mugshots

To help students avoid the trappings of social media and the pursuit of fame, this creative teacher devised a "Hall of Fame/Walk of Shame" concept. For minor offenses such as failing to put a name on a test, the teacher would post the student's picture on the wall, ensuring that they would not soon forget the mistake and feel embarrassed in the process.

This unique approach has been a memorable way of teaching students to be mindful of their actions, as the fear of embarrassment in front of the entire class is excellent for student motivation. Next time, just put your name on the quiz!

When Homework Gets Really, Really Hard

The awkwardness of school life lies in the gap between the vastness of what is taught in class and the tasks given to students. One teacher gave his learners some strange assignments, all of which made for some pretty singular tasks. We can only hope that one day, one of them will return the favor to the teacher.

The homework was a combination of interesting, exciting, and seemingly impossible tasks. For instance, it would take a long time to become an expert in Kung Fu, never mind ending world hunger! We hope the students exceeded their expectations and satisfied their teacher's curiosity.

Schooled By a Stormtrooper

The guy in the middle stood out from the rest, as he chose to think outside the box. He wore headgear, which many deemed useless, particularly in a galaxy war. However, he disregarded this opinion and chose to lead a life different from the others. The students saw the potential in this, and immortalized the identity of this man in their yearbook, ensuring that his story was shared with the rest of the world.

The famous "Star Wars" Stormtrooper suit is one of the most recognizable in cinema and was originally created by Andrew Ainsworth, the founder of the Shepperton Design Studios company.

You Shall… Pass!

Obtaining a pass at school can be difficult, particularly if one doesn't have a valid reason for doing so. One student, Frodo, was known to be mischievous, but his friend Gandalf was in charge of curbing his bad behavior by saying "You shall not pass". Despite this, Frodo was determined to take a day off to wander around the school grounds.

As the photo shows, Frodo was able to get a pass. However, the teacher who issued it was likely a fan of the "Lord of the Rings" and used his or her signature line to fill the necessary spaces.

In Cold Blood

Inserting pictures of funny or emotional moments during school time can give any yearbook a unique touch. These photos will certainly bring back memories to everyone and make them miss their old friendship and laughter. This trio of students captures the kind of wild antics that helped form their strong bond.

It was also amusing to see the teachers joining in on the snake prank! It's no wonder that some of the students were caught up in the midst of it. What is truly remarkable, though, is how well-framed the three photos are, almost as if they were captured side by side.

Rick Astley's Extra Credit

This music teacher was unlike any other; instead of surprising her students with a test, she made the process enjoyable by adding a line of “pick me up” on the question paper. This song was known by all of her students, so even if they did not answer the rest of the questions correctly, they were all sure to pass.

A student's life is often full of unexpected tests, especially for difficult subjects that require extra preparation. However, this teacher managed to make the situation more lighthearted and enjoyable with the help of a song that's been turned into a bonafide online meme.

Microbiology Done Right!

This amazing microbiology teacher decided to surprise the students with an incredible Darth Vader costume. The lightsaber could be used to ensure that everyone was paying attention during the lecture, as the subject was no joke. Everyone was in awe of the outfit: not only was it impressive, but it was also lightweight, so the teacher wasn't too warm either!

This spark of an interesting concept drastically improved the student's learning speed, and all respect goes to this teacher for his passion and commitment to his work. It goes to show once more that "Star Wars" is a great source of inspiration for new teaching techniques.

The Vampire Teacher

This teacher had seemingly had enough of his students' shenanigans, and so he came up with an inventive solution: "students' tears." He even went as far as to take a sip from the concoction, making the learners believe he was drinking their tears. We can only hope that this creative idea worked and helped them to improve their behavior.

It also goes to show that this particular teacher is confident enough to make a powerful statement using his water bottle. It's not okay to make one's students cry, but there's nothing wrong with making them feel a little bit afraid.

When History Teachers Make History

When it came to the yearbook picture placement, it was almost a given that everyone wanted to put their favorite history teacher's picture on it. This particular professor was an outstanding example of a teacher who was cool, passionate, dedicated, and unmatched. History was a subject that he gave his all to, and he still managed to retain his funny character, even when wearing his old general outfit.

His outstanding efforts challenged other teachers to strive for excellence the next time they wanted to be featured in the yearbook. We love how he decided to make the photo black-and-white too.

This One Isn't Going to Fool Anyone!

Ideally, teaching is one of the most complex and draining jobs to pursue. With lessons continuing on and on without a break, it can be hard to treat every student with the same level of attentiveness without showing signs of fatigue. In this instance, the teacher was likely tired and chose to leave, but luckily for him, it was Halloween!

To ensure the students still had someone to help them, the teacher prepared some artfully-crafted cardboard and placed it in the chair. Halloween or not, one thing's for sure: this makeshift cardboard tutor doesn't look like he will fool anyone.
