Angelina Jolie
Being a celebrity's stunt double is not an easy job. But no one needs to tell Eunice Huthart, Angelina Jolie's stunt double pictured here, who worked with the famous actress from 2004 to 2010. While her time with Jolie allowed them to form a relationship, she alleges the media violated her right to privacy during that time.
Huthart's career began when she first won the '90s British television sports entertainment game show "Gladiators" and returned as the first U.K. contender ever to become a Gladiator, which she still is as of 2022. She has since built a successful career doubling for other famous stars, including "Resident Evil's" Milla Jovovich.
Gerard Butler
Working alongside Gerard Butler in the movie "Machine Gun Preacher" is the famous stunt double Ele Bardha, known for his exclusive work in many fighting scenes. While he looks like a natural double for Butler because of their keen resemblance, his work is not limited to doubling the actor.
Bardha has contributed to several fight sequences in many Hollywood productions. He is even famous for blockbuster productions like "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," "Transformers: The Last Knight," and "Baby Driver." Being an extreme adventurist, the stunt double loves his work. And interestingly, he has progressed from just being a crew member to a cameraman, producer, and stunt director.
Ken Stott
Are we seeing double? The resemblance between these two is uncanny! Ken Stott, who played the dwarf Balin in the "The Hobbit" trilogy, was doubled by a lookalike called Peter Dillon. While Dillon has admitted that being a stunt person means dealing with pain to an unusual degree, it's his choice never to leave the stunt world.
More than two decades before he became in demand in the industry, he was a secondary school teacher in Dublin. Then, after taking one year off from teaching to indulge in his scuba diving and martial arts hobbies, he landed a gig working on "The Lord of the Rings" and never returned to teaching.
Hugh Jackman
No one wants to believe that their beloved Wolverine Hugh Jackman wasn't actually the one making heads roll in "Logan." But whatever action we fell for in the film, we also have Eddie Davenport to thank. Davenport is a stunt double and an actor who began his career on stage in 2001, playing the lead in Christopher Durang's "Actors Nightmare."
Over the years, the stunt double has appeared in several blockbuster films, and he most recently won a Satellite Award in 2022 for Best Stunt Performance in "The Suicide Squad." And apart from that, he has been credited with acting and stunt doubling in more than 100 television episodes.
Michael Douglas
There's no doubt that the Marvel Cinematic Universe requires performing incredible stunts to pull off the action-packed movies we love. And the award-winning actor Michael Douglas who played the role of Dr. Hank Pym, also needed a stunt double, even though he probably didn't expect his double to look so eerily like him.
The stunt double in question, Michael G. Runyard, has spent more than four decades in the movie industry. Doubling for Douglas wasn't his first rodeo in the MCU, as he previously served as a utility stunts performer in the first two "Iron Man" movies. But the two have a unique relationship and have been golfing buddies for decades.
Bruce Willis
Unfortunately, scenes like this will not be possible anymore as the Hollywood legend Bruce Willis finally stepped back from acting in 2022 after an iconic 44-year career. Interestingly, his retirement, which may have been a shock to fans, was not surprising to his stunt double, Stuart Wilson. Wilson had long noticed signs like Willis' forgetfulness of his lines, making him step in.
Now a stunt coordinator, Wilson has worked with Willis for over 17 years. But he's not the actor's only stunt double. The other is Eric Buarque, a man whose resemblance to the actor led to his big break as his double in "Live Free or Die Hard."
Kate Winslet
Kate Winslet became famous worldwide after her incredible performance in the 1997 classic "Titanic." However, someone else also helped her achieve this even though the person wasn't credited, and that's her stunt double in the movie Sarah Franzl. Still, Franzl has doubled for several actors after Winslet, including Maggie Gyllenhaal, Billy Zane, and even Leonardo DiCaprio.
In her extensive career, she has grown through the ranks, becoming a stunt coordinator herself, and assisted with stunt coordination in "Avengers: Age of Ultron." Some of the other movies she's known for are classics like "Robin Hood," "Wonder Woman," and "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.
Arnold Schwarzenegger
The former action movie star Arnold Schwarzenegger, who became the 38th governor of California, shook up the '80s when he starred in the first "Terminator" film. But all the while we were busy enjoying the action-filled scenes in the movie, we couldn't tell that he was occasionally replaced with his stunt double Peter Kent.
Kent is only one of the many people who doubled Schwarzenegger in his early career. The Canadian stuntman and actor appeared in the first three "Terminator" movies, and to date, the second installment is his least favorite because of how dangerous the stunts were. However, Kent worked alongside Schwarzenegger for 15 years, and the two were good friends.
Alyson Hannigan
Most of Allyson Hannigan's fans remember her as her quirky self from the popular sitcom "How I Met Your Mother." But before she was cast in that show, she had already made a mark in the industry, playing her award-winning role of teenage witch Willow Rosenberg in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer."
Considering her impressive acting range on the series, it's not surprising she had stunt doubles. On several occasions in the series, Hannigan's character became a villain, but she wasn't the one playing that part. Instead, she had two stunt doubles for that part and one extra for her "Vamp Willow" appearances.
Amy Poehler
The iconic actors Amy Poehler and Will Arnett delivered fantastic performances in the 2007 comedy sports movie "Blades of Glory." But seeing as the two are not professional ice skaters, they needed stunt doubles to bring that aspect of the film to life. So, Tiffany Scott, a retired professional figure skater, and Patrick Hancock doubled for Poehler and Arnett, respectively.
Scott, in particular, was probably the happiest to be given this gig. After winning the pairs title at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships in 2003, she was excited to be introduced to an entirely new world when she was called to double for Poehler.
Nicole Kidman
Nicole Kidman should come to mind when listing some of the most stunning actresses in the industry. But despite her stunning looks, filmmakers usually want textbook perfection, so she was given a more sculpted body double called Alicia Vela-Bailey during an ab shot in the 2011 film "Just Go With It."
This costume must have brought back fond memories for Vela-Bailey, who grew up in Hawaii. At a very young age, she was enrolled in dance and gymnastics, which produced the sleek figure that landed her this gig with Kidman. And at 21, she was already doing stunts in place of Milla Jovovich for the film "Ultraviolet."
Chris Hemsworth
The tall, blonde-haired, blue-eyed heartthrob Chris Hemsworth really shouldn't have another person that looks like him for the safety of women's hearts out there. But alas, it appears he has a doppelganger, Bobby Holland Hanton, who worked with him as his stunt double during the filming of "Snow White and the Huntsman."
Hanton and Hemsworth have a good relationship because they've worked closely together for over a decade. He was even the one who doubled for the actor in the 2022 MCU blockbuster "Thor: Love and Thunder." And you won't believe how much dedication he puts into his diet plan to meet up with Hemsworth's physique.
Mark Wahlberg
Some stunt doubles are hard to tell apart from the real thing, but not the double for famous actor Mark Wahlberg during the filming of "Ted 2." This picture was taken in 2014 as they took a break while on set in New York, and many still reference the comical snap today because of how the double was checking out Wahlberg.
Even though they are wearing the same jeans and green plaid shirts, the body double can't help but admire how the former Calvin Klein model is rocking his. Doubles often try to mirror the actors they're working with, but this one doesn't have Wahlberg's body physique or facial appearance.
Jim Carrey
Both Jim Carrey and Cameron Diaz became instant celebs after their starring performances on the set of the 1994 movie "The Mask." But while keen viewers may have noticed something off about Diaz during her character's dance with The Mask in the film, it must have been more difficult to tell with Carrey because of his costume.
However, Carrey and Diaz were not the ones dancing in the movie. Instead, they had dance doubles Deano Georgio and Lisa Nunziella, respectively. Georgio, a professional hustle dancer, has performed numerous times with Nunziella in films like "The N*ked Gun 2½: The Smell of Fear" and in season 3 of "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine."
Cameron Diaz
Cameron Diaz established herself as one of the highest-paid actresses during her early career. But being well paid didn't mean she would do dangerous stunts herself. She could have been guilted into doing them on the set of "Knight and Day," considering her co-star Tom Cruise famously demanded to do his stunts, but stunt performer Kimberly Shannon Murphy came to her rescue.
Even if Murphy may not be a familiar face, she has been in a lot of popular movies, such as "Avengers: Age of Ultron," "I Am Legend," and "Once Upon A Time in Hollywood." And apart from Diaz, she popularly doubles the "Pulp Fiction" actress Uma Thurman.
Ian McKellen
We try to imagine the amount of work that would have gone into producing "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy, and this picture already depicts a lot. Sir Ian McKellen, who famously played Gandalf in the films, is standing with two of his body doubles, Basil Clapham and Paul Randall, who worked as his stunt double and scale double, respectively.
Randall's role could not be improvised even if the legendary actor had decided to do his stunts himself. The hobbits in the movie needed to appear as dwarfs, so the seven-foot-tall double helped provide perspective. Interestingly, Randall took 18 months off his regular police work to act in this film.
Margot Robbie
Famous Australian actress Margot Robbie beautifully played the ruffled, daring, blonde-haired costume inspiration that is Harley Quinn. But on the set of the "Suicide Squad" movie, there were two Harley Quinns. The second was Robbie's stunt double, famous stunt woman Ingrid Kleinig, who, by all accounts, may have the true daring nature of the D.C. character.
Unafraid to lunge herself off buildings, Ingrid had to clarify that she is not hooked on the adrenaline rush but performs her stunts perfectly. The risk of accidents is too high, and Ingrid has suffered some herself, so she's extra careful. But she maintains that "Suicide Squad" was the most fun she's had on set.
Jennifer Lopez
Stunt doubles have a reputation for helping actors perform their stunts, but sometimes, they help musicians with their music video stunts. For example, while in Mexico filming Jennifer Lopez's "Follow the Leader" music video, the multitalented entertainer employed the services of an action double. But that's not the most exciting part. Contrary to what we see often, her double was a man!
And this male extra is undoubtedly a gorgeous man to be able to double for the stunning J.Lo. He even had his hair braided at one side to perfect his imitation of Lopez. The picture shows many similarities between the two, including their expressions.
Megan Fox
No one would have thought there was someone hot enough to double the iconic "Transformers" actress Megan Fox. But, it seems the Greek-American model and actress Maria Papathanasiou is worth her salt. The Brooklyn-based stunt double got a chance to work with Fox on the reboot of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," and she had bystanders confused about who was who among them.
While she looked much like Fox, it also had much to do with their matching outfits. The Hollywood star that Papathanasiou is commonly compared to based on looks is the Academy Award-winning actress Penelope Cruz. But in this production, she played the best friend of the Turtles, April O'Neil.
Daniel Radcliffe
Stunt performers do dangerous jobs. And unfortunately, some don't come out of production in one piece. For example, the Harry Potter stuntman for Daniel Radcliffe, David Holmes, was paralyzed while filming "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1." He says that to date, he still gets terrified by the flashbacks at night.
Poor guy. The incident was quite horrifying as a planned explosion took a terrible turn. When Holmes plummeted to the ground, he couldn't feel his legs anymore. The stunt involved using a harness for a flying sequence with a planned explosion. But instead of sending holmes jerking back, it flung him into a wall.
Dwayne Johnson
The former WWE superstar, Dwayne Johnson, transitioned seamlessly from wrestling to the movie industry and even became a sought-after actor for several productions. Despite having a background performing stunts, the Hollywood star uses a stunt double in some of his movies. Still, no one expected that the person would be almost his replica.
Tanoai Reed, who has us confused about whether The Rock has a twin, has been Johnson's stunt double since "The Scorpion King" in 2002. And this picture serves as proof that Johnson was not the one jumping through windows and shattering glass in "Pain and Gain." But guess what? Reed is actually Johnson's cousin!
Gwendoline Christie
Fans of the concluded HBO fantasy series "Game of Thrones" have many scenes in the series etched into their memories. However, one that is undoubtedly unforgettable is the showdown between The Hound, Sandor Clegane, and the formidable female knight Brienne of Tarth. When this happened in the fourth season, everyone praised Gwendoline Christie and Rory McCann for the impressive battle, but they never fought.
Those who fought that battle for their characters are Gyula Tóth and Mark Slaughter, the stunt doubles for McCann and Christie, respectively. These stuntmen are pros in the industry and have worked together, doubling for the famous "Star Wars" actor Adam Driver.
Faye Marsay
Among the unforgettable scenes in HBO's "Game of Thrones" are the ones that happened at the climax of the show. But we bet no one paid attention to who any of the White Walkers were when they appeared in hoards. Unfortunately, one of the undead hordes included stunt double Casey Michaels, who suffered career-ending injuries when jumping off a roof.
Michaels has doubled for famous Hollywood stars like Renée Zellweger, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Julianne Moore. In the HBO series, she also doubled for the Waif, Faye Marsay. According to her, her leg injuries are because of the producers' negligence, and she is seeking an injury settlement of £4 million ($4.9 million).
Rory McCann
Rory McCann played The Hound in the popular fantasy series "Game of Thrones." While many now associate him with the role, he has also appeared in several other productions, including "Jumanji - The Next Level." For his role as Jurgen the Brutal in the movie, he had a stunt double called Chris Naylor.
Naylor praised McCann for doing all his Jumanji fight scenes himself. McCann seems to want to follow in the footsteps of dedicated actors like Tom Cruise, who also perform their own stunts. Although Naylor did little in the movie with McCann, he remains a well-versed stunt double known for his work in "Luke Cage" and "9-1-1: Lone Star."
Carrie Fisher
Sadly, Carrie Fisher has not been with us since her death in 2019. But whenever we remember the iconic "Star Wars" franchise, she comes to mind because of her role as Princess Leia. The late actress is pictured here in the '80s, taking a break with her stunt double, Tracey Eddon, while filming "Star Wars: Return of the Jedi."
The picture shows how close the two had gotten on set, sunbathing together. Eddon later established herself in the stunt world after her stint with Fisher. She became a part of "Lifeforce" almost immediately and later became known for "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" and "Ready Player One."
Bryce Dallas Howard
There was this epic scene in the 2015 "Jurassic World" film when the main character Claire Dearing outran a T. rex while wearing heels! Although American actress Bryce Dallas Howard played Claire in the movie, she wasn't the one who brought that epic scene to life. Instead, it was her stunt double Whitney Coleman who did.
Whitney has worked as a stunt double for several actresses, including the "Stranger Things" star Millie Bobby Brown. Her work in "Jurassic World" even earned her a nomination for a Screen Actors Guild Award. As the daughter of renowned stunt coordinator Doug Coleman and stunt performer Eliza Coleman, it seems she was born to dominate the industry.
Andrew Garfield
We must admire actors who choose to do their stunts because they don't have to. Famous actor Andrew Garfield proved worthy of this admiration during the filming of "The Amazing Spider-Man" as he was more than happy to do whatever stunts he could. But that doesn't make him a professional stuntman, so he still had a double for stunts he could not perform.
Interestingly, Garfield's stunt double for the movie is the internationally renowned skateboarder William Spencer, whose work in film received praise for its captivating and unique style. Spencer still worked on sequels to "The Amazing Spider-Man" and was a stuntman and action actor in "Spiderman No Way Home."
Sebastian Stan
The mask these two are wearing makes it even more difficult to tell them apart. Sebastian Stan, who played Bucky Barnes (Winter Soldier) in the MCU films, has a stunt double that looks like him, John Nania. And over the years, the two have forged a bond, which is easy to see as they appear together often.
Nania has worked with several other actors in his career, appearing as a double for Nicholas Logan and Jordan Salloum. But he consistently praises Stan's work ethic and credits him with performing many of his stunts while filming "The Falcon and The Winter Soldier."
Taylor Lautner
Taylor Lautner is an American actor celebrated for his role in "The Twilight Saga" series as the shapeshifting werewolf Jacob Black. The lookalike beside him is Gabe Nunez, a professional stuntman and stunt coordinator, who interestingly has a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. But instead of sticking with his formal education, Nunez followed his dreams.
The stuntman had always wanted to work in movies, so he moved to Hollywood and landed his first film with Adam Sandler, "You Don't Mess With the Zohan." Afterward, he racked up an impressive stunt resume, appearing in over 70 feature films. And he even co-founded Tempest Freerunning, the most decorated pro freerunning team globally.
Tom Hardy
Tom Hardy was one of the most fun actors to watch in 2015 when he starred in the critically acclaimed movie "Mad Max: Fury Road." And if you overlooked his stunt double in the action-packed post-apocalyptic film, it may be because he looks way too much like Hardy.
The stunt double for the actor in the movie was Jacob Tomuri, whose love for martial arts saw him transition naturally from acting to stunts. And Tomuri is so dedicated to his work that he even made sure he perfected an authentic Cockney accent for another film with Hardy in 2015 titled "Legend."
Mark Ruffalo
We can only hope that Mark Ruffalo took the initiative and got a DNA test done for him and Anthony Molinari, his stunt double in the movie "Now You See Me." He may have just found his long-lost twin! Molinari, who has become one of the most elite stuntmen in the industry, seems to be a perfect double for Ruffalo.
Born in Massachusetts, Molinari never saw himself becoming a professional stuntman. Instead, he read Sociology and Education and became an elementary school teacher. During his time teaching, he got inspired by a student to pursue his stuntman passion. Now he has been in over 200 TV shows and films.
Zac Efron
Zac Efron has been making hearts swoon since his days in "High School Musical," and these shirtless pictures of him certainly do not help. But not minding his irresistible six-pack, let's take notice of the person wearing the same outfit as him. That's Jordan Scott, his stunt double on the set of "Dirty Grandpa."
Scott looks nothing like Efron, but he has been the actor's stunt double in several movies, such as "Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates" and "Neighbors 2." Scott's career has also involved performing stunts for MCU films like "Captain America: Civil War" and "Avengers: Endgame," and other movies like 2018's "The Darkest Minds."
Melissa McCarthy
Everyone loves seeing Melissa McCarthy act in films. The actress is great at what she does, so it's only fitting that her stunt double is someone equally impressive that can capture her essence correctly. And luckily, she found one, Luci Romberg, an American stuntwoman who also co-owns a parkour lifestyle brand in Los Angeles called Tempest Freerunning.
Romberg doubled for McCarthy on the set of the 2016 movie "Ghostbusters." She is a champion gymnast who received a gymnastics scholarship to study kinesiology (study of human movement), and she has worked in many T.V. productions like "Terminator," "Monk," and "True Blood."
Robert Pattinson
Robert Pattinson is an exceptional actor. We saw that firsthand in "The Twilight Saga" series and more recently in 2022 when he was cast as Bruce Wayne in "The Batman." During the actor's time as a vampire in Twilight, he had a stunt double called Paul Darnell, who, to this day, is in awe of Pattinson's personality.
Darnell never expected Pattinson to give him credit when he won Best Fight for "Twilight" in 2009 at the MTV Movie Awards. But the actor did, even though he couldn't remember the stuntman's surname. It's been a while since they worked together, but Darnell's most recent performance was in 2021 on "The Matrix Resurrections."
Christian Bale
Before Robert Pattinson, other actors took on the role of Batman. One of them is the Academy Award-winning actor Christian Bale. While filming "The Dark Knight Rises," Bale worked with one of Hollywood's leading stunt doubles Bobby Holland Hanton. Hanton is the go-to double for stars like Bale, and he has been in many other productions, including the Oscar-winning "Inception" and "Pirates of the Caribbean."
Hanton admits that his roles are very demanding, mainly because he likes to ensure his body matches the actor he is doubling. He trains continuously to stay sharp in many athletic genres like scuba diving, high-speed driving, and gymnastics.
Emma Watson
Emma Watson is one of the most loved characters in the "Harry Potter" franchise. Here, she is pictured with her stunt doubles for the filming of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1." Interestingly, some people didn't think Hermione Granger's role was so active that she required many stunt doubles, but she certainly did.
An early stunt double, Felicity Miles, talked about the gruesome task of getting her hair to resemble Hermione's. But through the years of filming, she and Watson developed a special girl bond and even talked about boys in between takes. Miles now works as a journalist and has a podcast called "Behind The Wand."
Johnny Depp
Johnny Depp amassed a legion of fans ready to do anything for him after starring in the blockbuster franchise "Pirates of the Caribbean." And we all know that the movie would not be as phenomenal as it was without the sword fights, nightmarish falls, and intense ship battles. As expected, Depp had a stunt double who filled in for him during these scenes.
The stunt double Tony Angelotti worked on the franchise in 2003 and 2006. But unfortunately, he suffered career-ending injuries behind the scenes. That eventually led to a close relationship with Depp, and the two traveled together to perform epic scenes by Captain Jack Sparrow.
Lynda Carter
From Miss World to "Wonder Woman," Lynda Carter truly embodied a robust and iconic woman like her character. Finding a stunt double was difficult, but the perfect person came around. Jeannie Epper became the stunt double of this iconic actress, and her work with her at the time is what paved the way for many stuntwomen today.
Epper is now considered the greatest stuntwoman of all time. In 2018, it was estimated that she had completed about 150 stunts in her career. Although now well into her golden years, she has calmed down on the type of stunts she pulls. But she is still active in the industry.
Daniel Craig
One of the most iconic actors of his time, "James Bond" star Daniel Craig continues to enjoy a successful career even though his role as the secret agent ended in 2021. In his long career, he has worked with different stunt doubles, including the one pictured here with him, Garvin Cross.
Cross is a Canadian stunt coordinator, stuntman, and actor best known for his role in the 1995 martial arts movie "Rumble in the Bronx," starring Jackie Chan. He is a widely recognized expert in his field, and his skills as a precision stunt driver earned him a place in the Guinness Book of Records.
Brad Pitt
Famous actor Brad Pitt and his stunt double could have anyone fooled. They look similar, and it seems easy for one to pass off as the other. That must be highly lucrative for the stunt double, who appears to be on the same page with Pitt about something regarding the movie they were filming, "The Councillor."
Playing the role of an illicit substance trafficker in the movie, Pitt was sure to have some challenging moments that needed to be captured on film. And this was where the stunt double came in. After working together on several movies, including "World War Z," the two have also become good friends.
Chris Evans
Chris Evan may very well adopt the name Captain America because it has become his MO. But unlike the superhero in the MCU films, Evans is just a regular person and doesn't even do most of the stunts we see in the movies. Behind the heroic acts of this particular superhero is the skilled stuntman Sam Hargrave.
Hargrave doubled for Evans while filming "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," and he also appeared in "Avengers: Endgame." Being Evans double saw him participate in one of the MCU's most iconic action scenes: the elevator fight between the Winter Soldier and Captain America.
