It's safe to say that they were even flourishing without their queen. Glover had to think fast, and he started by removing the hive from the wall.
A Well-Mannered Swarm
Often, a queenless colony will fall apart shortly after the death of the queen. The bees will develop hostile behavior, and this is usually when the highest number of bee stings will be reported. This swarm was unusual, though.

Furthermore, if you have learned anything about Glover so far, it's that he loves his bees and wouldn't do anything that'd hurt them. The steps are simple. Firstly, he empties the vacuum tank and places a clean bag inside. Then, he'd proceed to use mild suction to seize the bees to transport them.
