He never got his Bachelor’s Degree, but has been successful both in music and business and his career continues to grow.

Hanson

The Hanson brothers made popular the hit song that went Ba du bop. Back in the day, the Oklahoma-raised brothers Taylor, Zac, and Isaac were earning Grammy nominations for their album Middle of Nowhere. While they didn’t last in the mainstream scene, they are still performing and are quite popular down under. Their last album Anthem was reasonably successful, and they made a couple of tours in 2015 and 2016, still going strong apprently.

Jeremy Jackson

Everyone who watched Baywatch still remembers Hobie Buchannon, a role that Jeremy Jackson got ahead of none other than Leonardo DiCaprio. Unfortunately, Jackson started using drugs during the show and ended up in a drug rehab facility in 1999. While his career was never the same, he did appear on Celebrity Rehab, and Celebrity Big Brother in the UK since and is hoping to get back to doing real roles soon.

Jake Lloyd

Surely all Star Wars fans remember this likable little boy who played the role of young Anakin Skywalker. But he had to drop out of acting after being bullied at school at the age of 11. Later, Jake also dropped out of Columbia College after just a semester and was eventually arrested for DUI and resisting arrest. His mother revealed that he is suffering from schizophrenia and after assaulting her, he was transferred to a psychiatric institution.

Ross Bagley

Owing most of his fame to his role on the NBC show, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Ross Bagley was only a celebrity for a short time. Following the end of the popular sitcom in 1996, Bagley’s career went downhill rapidly. He managed to get a Bachelor’s Degree in cinema and television at the California State University. Even with his degree, we really haven’t been seeing much of Ross on TV at all.

Travis Tedford

Known as Little Rascals’ “Spanky”, the Texas born actor has been in the business since he was five in 1994. Following The Little Rascals, Travis was able to land himself multiple major roles in movies such as The Stinkers. However, after some time, Tedford decided to go back to school and got his Bachelor’s Degree in liberal arts in 2008. The actor is present in the social media, but not as much on the screens as of late.

Joseph Mazzello

Made famous by his role as Tim Murphy in the Jurassic Park, Joe Mazello is a child of acting teachers who brought him into the industry. He debuted with Harison Ford in Presumed Innocent and really came to his own after Jurassic Park. His degree came from the USC School of Cinematic Arts some years later, and Steven Spielberg himself vouched for him there. He is still active in the acting world, although not as much as he used to be, and his latest notable role is in the movie The Social Network.

Carrie Henn

Most of you will remember Carrie Henn for her role on the Aliens, which she did when she was only ten years old. As many others on this list, she ended up going after a Bachelor’s Degree in liberal arts and today she lives with her husband and child in a small town Atwater near San Francisco. Not as glamorous as it might have been.

Jonathan Lipnicki

Acting along the likes of Tom Cruise and participating in hits such as Jerry Maguire, Lipnicki is one of the best known child stars of the nineties. We didn’t see much of him for a period of almost a decade before he re-appeared on For the Love of Money. Jonathan is an aficionado of martial arts and has kept in shape throughout his ups and downs.

Kate Maberly

One of the stars on this list who is not a USA resident is Kate Maberly. The British star started her career at just eight years old on The Secret Garden and went on to star in some Hollywood movies as well. She got a degree in music in England and today, she uses her vast talents to create unique art back at home.

Mackenzie Rosman

The South Carolina-born actress made a name for herself on 7th Heaven where she played the role of Ruthie Camden and she kept working as an actress for some years, performing on shows like Ghost Shark. Once she was a grownup, Mackenzie posed for Maxim Magazine and left the fans of her young self in a bit of an awkward situation. Today, she runs a charity foundation to collect money for Cystic Fibrosis, a serious disease that the sister lived with for some time.

Heather O'Rourke

Who would have thought that this blue-eyed girl would play in a horror movie? Not only that, but we remember her for the most famous lines in a horror movie from Poltergeist in 1982 when she yelled: "They're here!" The producers loved her and she was also the star of the other two movies. Unfortunately, Heather left us before her time, when she passed away in 1988 due to an intestinal condition.

Tatyana Ali

Her humor in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air made us remember Tatyana Ali forever. Working on more than 50 movie projects, we are in no doubt that her bank account is more than packed. She worked on several TV movies and shows but recently, she decided to take on a different role: that of a mother and a wife. She married Vaughn Rasberry in 2016 and eventually, she was giving birth to a beautiful son named Edward.

Erik Per Sullivan

You must know Erik Per Sullivan. He worked on so many projects as a kid that you've probably seen him at least once a day if you watched TV. Besides lending his voice to Sheldon in Finding Nemo and playing the little brother that never had any luck in Malcolm in the Middle, he still had time to obtain a college degree. Nice job, Erik!

Jeremy Miller

Have you ever been so popular that you had people stalking you? Jeremy Miller experienced just that. He gained so much popularity because of Growing Pains that he had big problems with it when he was 14. He is another lucky child star that landed nice roles through the years due to that one show that got him famous. One thing that might shock you about Jeremy is that he drank alcohol regularly when he was only 12 years old due to the stress that filming caused him.

Jared Rushton

Jared Rushton went from the movie to the music industry. He is known for movies like Honey and I Shrunk the Kids. Even though his earnings were quite nice, he decided to leave the industry because he was more passionate about music than acting. If you still want to see him, make sure to check out his band Deal by Dusk and find some gigs he is playing in. All in all, we don't care where he is or what he does, as long as he's happy.

Abraham Benrubi

Have you ever heard anyone say that the guy that looks the toughest is usually the nicest and the most gentle guy you will meet? Well, this is the case with Abraham Benrubi. He is a really nice guy but he played a bully in Parker Lewis Can't Lose. He later began to increase his income by lending his voice in Robot Chicken: Star Wars and in the video game Diablo III. He's still looking burly these days though he could use some fitness routine to help keep the unwanted pounds at bay.

Keshia Knight-Pulliam

You probably know this lovely lady from The Cosby Show. We are proud of her to be one of the child stars that didn't end up in a treatment center. Instead, she got a lot of work to make a good living. In 2015, she got engaged to Edgerton Hartwell with whom she has one daughter. However, the love didn't last but having a child is always a gift no matter how your marriage ends.

Gary Coleman

Who wouldn't remember this funny man? He was the hit of the '80s when he starred in Diff'rent Strokes. The show continued into the '90s, but even if he made nice bucks on the show, he lost everything in 1991. No matter the mistakes made, we still loved him. Sadly, he passed away, way too soon, in 2010, because of brain hemorrhaging.

Maia Brewton

Maia Brewton began her carrier in the '80s. She appeared in Back to the Future and 21 Jump Street but in the early '90s, she decided that acting wasn't for her and that she would rather give college a chance. In 1998, she got her degree from Yale University and she married her longtime girlfriend in 2008. Reportedly, she is happy and has twins with her wife.

Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan had quite a journey in her life - from her movie career to her rehab scandals. She went from The Parent Trap and Mean Girls to taking the last title seriously since she had quite some legal problems because of her problems with alcohol and illegal drugs. She went through different treatment programs and she paid a lot of money for rehab but reportedly, she is getting her life back together. We have our fingers crossed!

Jeremy Gelbwaks

Jeremy's career in films was very short. You might remember him from 1971's The Partridge Family. He had to leave the show behind because his family moved to Virginia. In a way, this might have been a hidden blessing, as the rigors of show business have led more than a few child actors to depression clinics. He instead turned to technology and books which is also a work to be proud of. However, we still wonder what his life would have been like if he stayed in the movie industry.

Danny Cooksey

Gary Coleman's co-star from Diff'rent Strokes, Danny Cooksey, decided that he loved voice acting more than appearing on screen. Even though he had a role in Terminator 2, he seems to like lending his voice to cartoon characters and video-game characters more. For some time, he even tried to establish his name in the music industry but since that didn't work out, he went back to voice-acting. He is also happily married since 1998, which is probably a bummer for many marriage counselors.

Robbie Rist

Another actor that turned to voice-acting is Robbie Rist. As a child, he had fun playing in several movies but that didn't entertain him as an adult. You never know what could happen to child stars if they continue to live under the pressure of the movie industry. Perhaps if he continued acting and letting the stress get to him, he could have ended up with depression and alcoholism. Instead, he lent his voice to movies and games like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Final Fantasy.

RJ Mitte

Drug abuse? No. Cooking crystal meth? No. Then how do we know RJ Mitte because of these two phrases? He played the son of the main character in the show Breaking Bad and we daresay that he did a splendid job, too! Before that, he played had some minor roles, but what really flamed his love for acting was when he was an extra on Hannah Montana. We are proud of you RJ, you've come so far!

Sara Gilbert

If you don't remember this girl from The Big Bang Theory where she was an awkward nerd in the beginning seasons, then you might remember her in Roseanne. Besides acting in movies like Bad Teacher, she created her own TV show, which we always think is impressive! Building her career up since she was a teen, we have nothing more to say about Sara, except that we would like to ask her what hair products she uses since she has such nice curls.

The Olsen Twins

Who wouldn't love these two adorable sisters? Even though they are fraternal twins, they played and shared a role in Full House. They were only five months old when their path to fame began and that TV show made them iconic! When they realized that acting wasn't for them, they turned to fashion and have more than one fashion line. Even though they were in showbiz their entire life, they never turned "bad." Attention Deficit Disorder is the only thing that ever bothered Mary-Kate in the health department.

Brian Forster

Brian Forster was the kid who replaced Jeremy Gelbwaks in The Partridge Family, in 1971. However, when the series ended in 1974, Brian decided that he won't act anymore. He found his passion in car racing and on the stage - in theaters rather than on screen. We support any decision that makes people happier than they are. Many child stars went to showbiz and some even found themselves in treatment programs, it's nice to see people follow their heart. Way to go, Brian!

Susan Dey

Here we have another one! So many child stars came from The Partridge Family show that we kind of wish we were part of as well! Susan played Laurie in the TV show but after it ended, she didn't come to any of the reunions the show had. We guess she decided to keep a low profile, but one thing that we know about her is that she decided to film a documentary about a college physical abuse and she is a part of a medical/treatment center.

Mason Vale Cotton

We probably all know this cutie! If you watched Desperate Housewives, you'd know this blue-eyed boy as he played MJ Delfino. He has later been cast in several movies and if he keeps it up with his good acting and remains as adorable as he is, then he need not worry about how much money he has in the bank. Fingers crossed that in a few years, he will be the next big thing!

Madison De La Garza

You might remember this beauty from Desperate Housewives, too! She played Eva Longoria's daughter Juanita in the show. As it was pointed out in the series, Juanita is a bit chubby, and she was also bullied in real life. Demi Lovato, who is her half-sister, usually protected her from all the bullies that bugged her about her weight. But who's laughing now? Madison went from weight gain to weight loss! She is a babe and she should be proud!

Billy Mumy

Another actor who started as a child star was Bill Mumy. He appeared in The Twilight Zone and Lost in Space. He is one of the actors that didn't turn his back on Hollywood to pursue another career but instead, he has been building up his net worth. As many actors do, he also tried to make it in the music industry and he came so far that he got an Emmy nomination for his work in Adventures in Wonderland.

Khleo Thomas

Another star that went from acting to music is Khleo Thomas. He went big when he played in a Disney movie named Holes. But in 2005, he decided to try swimming in the music waters and we can say that he succeeded since he made music alongside Bow Wow and is now working on his studio album! We are sure that his bank account is steady and we wish him luck in the future!

Olivia Hussey

Olivia Hussey went from theaters to the big screen. In 1968, she got the role of Juliet Capulet in Romeo and Juliet. She received a Golden Globe for her outstanding performance. Besides that, she made her earnings by lending her voice to quite a few animated characters and video game characters. If you are good with voices, you might have recognized her in the Star Wars video games. In her late 60s, Hussey is looking fabulous and healthy, so maybe she knows what optimum nutrition is all about.

Jacob Reynolds

Not much is known about Jacob Reynolds. After his role in Gummo, The Aggression Scale, and The Road to Wellville, he kind of disappeared from Hollywood. We guess that he likes to live in peace without the Hollywood drama. He likes to fly planes and play his trumpet and if you ask us, that is a pretty nice and chill life to have. Reynolds is also sporting baldness quite well if you ask us.

Johnny Whitaker

On this list, we have a lot of child stars that started their career in the '60s or the '70s. The same is with Johnny Whitaker. If you don't remember him from General Hospital, you probably remember his face from Family Affair. We didn't have many stars on our list that turned to drugs during their careers but unfortunately, Johnny was one of them. Luckily, he enrolled in a drug rehab center and now works as a drug counselor.

Robert MacNaughton

There probably isn't a soul on this world that didn't watch E.T. the Extra-terrestrial. Since the movie brought Robert the Young Artist Award, you'd probably remember him! He later stopped acting and became a mail carrier. If you've seen him in any movies after 2013, it's because he decided to come back and improve his net worth by appearing in movies like Frankenstein vs. The Mummy.

Kami Cotler

We think that any child star is lucky, even if later, he or she doesn't stay in the movie industry. Kami, for example, used the earnings she made in the TV show The Waltons to become an educator and she also created her own consulting firm. She is a successful businesswoman and spokesperson; and why not use your childhood dream to later help you with your other dreams, right?

David Krumholtz

David Krumholtz isn't as weird as The Addams Family even though he played in the movie. Also, he doesn't have asthma in real life as he did in the movie. On the contrary, he is quite a successful actor and very versatile since we have seen him in both comedies and in drama movies. You might also remember him from Superbad or This Is The End.

Thylane Blondeau

Thylane Blondeau is a French model who has been dubbed "the most beautiful girl in the world." She started modeling when she was four years old and by ten, she was already in Vogue! We are proud of her as she portrays a healthy image without plastic surgery and is maintaining her success in the modeling world, working with companies like L’Oréal and Dolce & Gabbana.

Dante Basco

Another child star that went from acting and got a name for himself in the voice acting business is Dante Basco. In the '90s, he got a role in Hook and later on, he had a few cameo roles. He later filled his bank account by giving life (voice, actually) to the character, Zuko, in the animated show, Avatar: The Last Airbender. He is quite versatile in his job and we can't wait to see what he comes with up next!

Danica McKellar

Once the secret love of millions of boys around the world, Danice McKellar made herself famous with her role on The Wonder Years. Once the show was done, the actress decided that the transition into new roles is simply too much work and that she would go back to education, which her parents supported. After gaining her degree, she also married Mike Verta, a music with whom she has a child. However, she has since divorced and remarried, giving her divorce attorney quite a bit of work.

Jenna Von Oy

Another star that made her debut at just nine on the show ABC Weekend Special is Jenna von Oy. The actress went on to get a degree in film and cinema as well as become a notable country music singer. The actress issued an autobiography called “Situation Momeday” and is married to a data consultant by the name of Brad Bratcher.

Anna Chlumsky

One of the more successful stars on this list has to be Anna Chlumsky. Her career started at a very young age, with her modeling alongside her mother, and movie roles started coming in pretty fast as she made a number of appearances in the 1990s in popular film titles. She got a Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Chicago as well as an actual acting Degree from the Atlantic Acting School in New York. Today, she is happily married and likely to remain in the industry for many years.

Lark Voorhies

Anyone who watched Saved by the Bell will remember Lisa Turtle, the role that made Lark Voorhies famous. The Nashville-born actress started her career at 14 years old and never looked back ever since. In 2010, she had already authored three books and has married twice. At one point, she had to sue the National Enquirer for claiming she had gone into a drug recovery center, but the lawsuit was dropped and we will never know the real truth. She was diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

Ross Hull

The Canadian performer became famous for his role on Are You Afraid of the Dark. He played some other minor roles and in 2004, he retired to study meteorology. He got a Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Toronto back in Canada and has left acting to be a meteorologist on the Canadian news. He is openly gay and enjoys outdoor activities and advises everyone to become more active.

Mason Gamble

First breaking through with his role on Groundhog Dog and making a name for himself on Dennis the Meanace, Mason Gamble is one of the most well known child acting stars. He beat over 20,000 children to that role and he did manage to get some other projects after the movie. However, he has since left acting to pursue a marine biology degree which he successfully got at the UCLA.

Richard “Little Hercules” Sandrak

Known as the Little Hercules, the Ukraine-born Richard Sandrak came to the USA as a child. His parents wanted him to become famous so they had him start working out as a small child, allowing him to lift 180 lbs on bench press at just six years of age. He became known to the wider public after appearing on The World’s Strongest Boy documentary and rumors of steroid abuse immediately started going around. Today, the Little Hercules works as a stuntman, hoping to someday realize his dream of becoming a NASA engineer.

Brian Bonsall

First making an appearance on Family Ties in 1986, Brian Bonsall made a name for himself with the role of Preston Waters in Blank Check. Unfortunately, after finishing high school, instead of going to college, he turned to drugs and rock and roll and has been involved with both heavily ever since. He has paid thousands in fees and was sentenced to probation after being arrested for marijuana possession on multiple occasions. We are certain that the attorneys he had to hire managed to suck out most of what he made as an actor.

Elijah Wood

Wood remained active and hopeful about his acting career, and he secured the lead role in The Lord of The Rings as Frodo Baggins which opened up many doors to him again. He is also active as a voice actor and DJ, but we will always remember him from Back to the Future II which was his first movie role as a kid.

Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson

Not too long ago, in 2012, the world was shocked by Honey Boo Boo and Mama June who made an absolute fortune from a reality show about Honey’s beauty contests. The little star was only six years old at the time and the vulgar family presented on the show was condemned by some, but watched by most. The show was canceled after two years as Mama June started dating a registered criminal. She would have probably been better putting little Honey on a weight loss program which she quite desperately needs.

Mindy Cohn

Mindy Cohn is an American actress and musician who made her on-screen debut with her role as Natalie in the TV show, The Facts of Life. This part has opened many doors for her in the entertainment world as she continues to pursue acting, landing roles in 21 Jump Street and Charles in Charge and earning herself a net worth of $1 million. Being gifted as she is, Cohn is also recognized as the voice of the character Velma in the Scooby-Doo movies. These days, the popular actress is very busy filming her new movie, Hollywood Dirt.

Emil Minty

Emil Minty became famous during the 1980s as a child actor and his on-screen debut was through the role of The Feral Kid in the film, Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior. Afterward, Minty made an appearance in The Winds of Jarrah and Fluteman. Soon enough, the young actor lost interest in continuing with this career so he withdrew from acting after finishing school. These days, he is earning money as a jeweler in Chris Lewis Jewellers and has two children of his own.

Christina Ricci

Christina Ricci has had many astounding roles in her acting portfolio. She rose to prominence as a child with her part in Mermaids back in 1990. Just a year later, she landed a role in The Addams Family and instantly gained many fans all around the world. Ricci has managed to sustain a very successful career as she was growing up, making an appearance in more than 150 movies and TV shows, including Casper, Sleepy Hollow, and Monster. Needless to say, Christina Ricci is a very talented woman!

Tina Majorino

American actress and musician Tina Majorino started earning money while she was still a child, getting roles in the movies such as Waterworld, Corina, Corina, Andre, and When a Man Loves a Woman. In 1999, Majorino decided to take a break from acting but returned to television in 2004 with a part in the film, Napoleon Dynamite. Aside from appearing in films and TV shows, the popular actress founded a rock band together with her brother and they still perform together.
